Yes, unfortunately the first picture is of my sewing area - just a small portion of the craziness that is my room.
The beautiful desk belongs to Sofia. It's part of my attempt to lure her away from my own sewing machine. Now that it's in a tidy, attractive setting, I'm hoping that she'll be drawn to her own cute little machine.
This corner of her room has been a huge collaboration. Grandma Tunnell repainted and stained the old desk (and made the pin cushion), Grandpa drilled holes for the new knobs, the Kangs painted this cute thread rack for Sofi's birthday, the Hetricks sent us the origami ages ago (so happy I finally found a cute way to display them), and I repainted an old frame for the new print I bought on Etsy. So many loving friends!
Maybe I'll start sewing in Sofia's room?
Can I come sew in Sofia's room?
ReplyDeleteok...where did you get that print? I *love* the frame and that red pops so nicely.
ReplyDeleteNice work! What does Sofia think?
ReplyDeleteCute! Who knew there were things like aqua sewing machines. And, I would have never thought to paint the thread rack. Now I'm going to have to paint mine soon!
ReplyDeleteNikko: It's an aqua "Sewing Pretty with Hello Kitty" machine. 50% off Target clearance!
ReplyDeletePam: any time!
Paige: She said, "Awesome!", but only when I asked. Unasked, she said, "Will you gesso my canvas now? How about now? Now?"
Sarah: I saw the print on Angry Chicken and followed the link. It was part of a series of 3, but I only liked the one. That frame was a rather ugly one with an ugly picture from my childhood, so thanks SO much for being generous with your spray paint!
