So where did our little birdies make their home? Under a pile of sticks the kids had made into a kitty bunker of sorts (stuffed kitties, of course).
We did recently read that most birds like to nest in low bushes or on the ground, but this just seems a bit foolhardy. Have those birds not been observing my children?
Still, how sweet. I hope they survive to hatch...nestlings in our backyard!
That is so cool! (Although I hope it turns out ok....it is kind of like the birds that nest in the raspberry patches at our upick place and end up meeting an untimely death from unknowing pickers.)
ReplyDeleteLast year, some robins nested on top of our porch light. The eggs hatched on Mother's Day. It was wonderful. I hope you have a wonderful bird-nest-experience, too!
ReplyDeleteWOW, that is so cool. I hope the eggs survive!!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness that is so sweet! Darling eggs! You have nature in your yard!
ReplyDeletethat's awesome. Some birds tried to make a nest in our wreath on our front door. It looked like it was about done, but no one lived there!
ReplyDeleteThe year we moved in here some cliff swallows tried to build a mud nest on the door frame of our front door. Mean me drove them away.
