Abby's Doll Quilt

Some simple stars on a white field.

The border was inspired by AmandaJean (can you see the connection?)....and it was stinkin' hard. I need to hone my piecing skillz.

Made entirely from my FREE fat quarters from SewMamaSew. Tony told me that I could google coupon codes for anything, and he was right. I was already in the midst of checking out with my abundance of fabric, when I took a moment to search a code - a free fat quarter for every $20 spent!

....I won't tell you how many I got. But they picked me out some cute ones, don't ya think?

It reminds me a little of the Martha Stewart, K-Mart quilts I bought my girls seven years ago.

...and that picture just makes me want to cry...because they are SO not that little any more.

  1. I love the picture of Sofia and Annika! (You already know I liked the quilt.) They were such stinkin' cute kids! And they're growing up quite nicely, too :)

  2. You got Martha beat all to heck. And I'm totally with you on the wanting to cry looking at old photos of my kids...

  3. Lovley quilt. That was 7 years ago. It doesn't seem that long ago.

  4. I've never realized that Annika looks like your sister Rachel before seeing that picture.

I love the quilt! I like star quilts, and considered doing an Ohio star for my living room, but opted for an easier design...when I get around to doing it at all. The fabrics are quite sweet.
