More Krispy Kremes

We met some the Veatch cousins at Krispe Kremes to give our Christmas gifts. Maybe we should have found something further away from the mall (for a Saturday near Christmas!), but there aren't a lot of places to just hang out near where the highway meets the freeway. ...plus, there are doughnuts.

Maddy got a Dsi for Christmas, so it wasn't hard to get the older kids to all gather for a group picture. Completely unstaged.

The little kids were a different story. James, Natalie and Cozy just turned up as little blurs, running back and forth by the doughnut conveyor belt!

The menfolk.

Can I just say that I've been having a very emotional month. I think my total lack of vitamen D is partly to blame. (I miss the sun!) I know it's a cocktail of sun deprivation, stress, and grief, but regardless of the reasons, my anything tolerance is extremely low right now.

So, it made me very happy to pass this quilt on to Becky's family.

It just makes me cry to have it around. I think she would have really liked it.

  1. I've been having a hard time mourning someone who was at average life expectancy. I can't even imagine how you're feeling. Prayers and love for/to you.

  2. That is a beautiful quilt.

Vitamin D doesn't have to come from the sun - although that is the most enjoyable way to get it.

    mmmmmm.... Krispy Kremes!

  4. I'm sorry, Annalia! The holidays seem like they are so hard for missing loved ones. Cry all you like for as long as you want. It's a beautiful quilt!

P.S. Vit D pills and Fish oil have been known to be mood helpers for the winter months. Cut yourself some slack though considering you're missing Becky.

  5. I'm a bit behind on reading blogs lately...I'm sure that my lack of comments has enhanced your sadness, right? Maybe not. I'm so sorry--I'm sure the rain makes it even harder when you have such good reason to be having a hard time.

Anyhow, the quilt is absolutely gorgeous. I like Maddie's quilt too.
