Actually, I stole the idea from my SIL. Even if they aren't organized topically, alphabetically, or by author, you have to admit that the rainbow method is still better than that "turn all of the books with their pages facing outward, instead of their spines" nonsense.
Speaking of rainbows, we've seen tons of them this summer...and lightning. Actually, we saw forked lightning in front of a double rainbow. I just had to brag about that. No picture for proof. Only a car full of eye-witnesses.
Pretty! I don't think I could do it though. I like to group mine together by author, etc. You'll have to do an update post in 6 months or so to let us know if you kept the rainbow. :) Courtney

ReplyDeleteThat looks beautiful. I do books on certain subjects in certain colors in some rooms (my room: red, gold, black, white. guest room: pastel books about love, etc). If I ever get my nice big built-ins in my living room, I think I'll copy your rainbow. -paige
