Shroomy

There was a huge mushroom in my yard. At first I thought someone had left a big dinner roll on the lawn.



It's in a bare, patchy spot where there was recently (before us) a giant tree...whose roots were attacking the house, limbs falling on the roof - that sort of thing. I'll bet it was cute. Anyhoo...the roots that are left in the yard LOVE to grow mushrooms.

There's a similar tree right behind our house. I love it. ...but it recently dropped a huge limb on the roof of our kitchen. (We thought the kids were being super rowdy and jumping off of furniture!) I think a larger limb could demolish the children's rooms (all upstairs, of course)...so it may have to go too. Bummer.

At least there'll still be plenty of shade to go around out back.
