Now Tony is back to studying, and the weather is back to snowing. It doesn't look like the construction chaos is leaving anytime soon. No pain, no gain, right?
Eventually, this will be my super-shady flowerbed. I'm thinking astilbe, evergreen ferns, cyclamen, hostas, coral bells and bleeding hearts. Think I can squeeze all of that in? I'll just plant it all...and then see what survives. :)
...and the scraps that we've cut off....I think they might become fairy houses...if I ever find the time.
Maybe Sofia will help you with those fairy houses.. Because that is a very worthwhile cause! The patio looks fabulous. Do you use a special gravel as a base? We have recently started our own, but the special gravel from Lowes is so expensive!
ReplyDeleteoh it's looking good Lia! So, beautiful, I just love a flagstone patio and paths. It'll soon be as pretty as your path area was in your old house. Hostas will be beautiful there.
ReplyDeleteWow, "you guys" are really getting it done fast! It looks awesome! And your plant choices sound great too. Bummer about the construction mess, but it's not so bad to put up with when you can see that so much progress has been made, right?
