New Pet

No, there is no way I'm going to recover that chair. It's in great condition and neutral enough for me! :) If I thought it needed recovering, I wouldn't have even bought it.

Cozy did her smile thang for the first time in forever...although, I suspect it was just the sun in her eyes.

We have a new pet.

His name is slimy, and he lives in the flowerbed.

It's amazing how long kids can stay interested in a worm hunt. We were down by the creek this week and saw a snake-sized worm. Huge! If only I'd brought my camera. {Darn.}

Every child should grow up near a creek...since skipping stones is one of the great joys in life.

  1. Where's your little stream at Lia? I'm so glad you've found some fun places in nature to visit! A worm as big as a snake? Ick!

  2. We have a bunch of Slimy's relatives in our garden!

    I totally agree on growing up with a creek; they're so much fun! If only I could keep the boys from tracking the mud in the house, though...

  3. Yup, my grandparents had a "crick" (they were from Ohio) by their house and we loved to go there. No water by my house, but at least there were woods.
    The chair is awesome! I hadn't seen the previous post until now, but that's a good find! It wouldn't match my decor, so I would have to recover it, but I think it's lovely as is.
