Here is Tony's office part-way through being dry-walled.
...and now painted - by me! (...just a little bragging there.)
Tony has apologized for leaving me with the painting, even though we both know that, if he were home helping, I'd be following him around with a brush, making sure everything was perfect.
I'm a little bit controlling like that.
I know what you're wondering: how can a perfectionist be such a slob?
Easy.
I either do it perfectly or totally ignore it. Ignoring normally wins.
The hubby and I had a conversation that went something like this(...over the phone...while he is enjoying a balmy Florida winter...and I am freezing my tush off...) :
Tony: If I die suddenly, you can hire someone to paint for you. (Lots of insurance $)
Me: Nah. I think I'll still do the painting. It's nice to have a mindless task to do while you're mourning. Lots of good crying time...but I would buy really nice, five-panel doors...and have someone professional install them. Mmmm...five-panel doors...
We like to talk about morbid stuff like that. It's easier to do it without bawling before you have cancer...and then, when you get one of those terrible diagnoses, you've already hashed out all of the important stuff, right?
So, back to the office. It's hard to show color in photographs (esp. indoors), but I think this one gives you a pretty good idea.
...and there is the latest in Annalia reno-update.
I like the color!
ReplyDeleteOOoh! It's so pretty you might have to steal his office and make it into a mamalia hideout :)
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to keep it masculine to prevent that. He thinks he wants to share that office with me - but he doesn't. I talk a lot...and the kids tend to follow me. So, sharing is not conducive to studying. :)
DeleteLove your colors!! Good job Lia!
ReplyDeleteThe color is lovely. I love seeing it all take shape. not as much as you, I'm sure. I'm the same--do it well or not at all. so my house is a mess because you can't clean well in 5 minute increments.
