Colors

I get tired of the same old colors. Color schemes that I loved last year, grate on my nerves this year. Presently, I'm drawn to all shades of gray and most yellows.
...so my guest room has gray curtains, and someday I'm hoping it will have a yellow and gray quilt on the bed. ..we'll see if I can ever find enough pretty grays and yellows.

What are your favorite colors? (Are you having elementary school flashbacks?)

  1. I can't believe that with your large family you can manage to *have* a guest room!

I like navy blue and deep red.

  2. Yellow has always been pretty much my "all-around" favorite...and periwinkle blue. But for wearing I gravitate towards blues, greens, & black. For decorating this house it seems to be reds & golden yellow.

  3. You have always found colors and color combinations that look amazing. I like the grey and yellow. They remind me of the sun shining on the sunflowers that were planted near my fence last summer.
I have started to like reds and blues together. It is strange because for most of my life I didn’t like them together. I am drawn more to the aqua and red rather than flag red and blue.
You wouldn’t be able to tell from seeing me though. I still wear black and gray (It is so easy; everything matches in color lol.) My home décor is tan and brown; very safe there too. I think it is time to bring more color into my life.
Keep being your awesome self Annalia. You are inspiring me to find more color and enjoy it.

  4. I remember that my first bedroom colors of choice were peach and seafoam green. Then I moved on to country blue and mauve. Oh yes! Am I dating myself here? After that it was crisp blue and white. Now my house is greens, golds, and browns. Something I never thought I would do, but it feels so cozy. I'm currently trying to decide what color to paint our bedroom.... dilemma!!

  5. My mother used to tell me that blue and green didn't go well together. Maybe it's rebellion, but I like that end of the spectrum best (some purple, too). You might notice it in my clothes, but not every day. My husband has some sort of decoraphobia, so our house is pretty neutral.
