...and Sofi wants to parent them...but is managing to resist the urge.

Also, I think the swifts have finally gotten serious about building a nest in the birdhouse.
They're so flighty.
Sad bird story-
ReplyDeleteYesterday I was looking out the window and noticed Utah (my dog) playing with something alive. It happened to be a baby bird. We saved it, badly injured, made a grass nest in a box, where it died during the night.
My kids cried and then dumped it out onto the front lawn. Out there it sits until Paul gets home from work to give it a proper burial.
(FYI- the scent of humans doesnt effect the mama birds care for their young, they have bad sense of smell) googled it last night :)
So exciting! What fun you'll have watching them grow. Can't wait to see photos as they develop :-)
