Since the kids don't get to participate in school Valentine card exchanges, I feel like I have to make a special effort to keep Valentine's from becoming a non-holiday. (I don't want my boys growing up to disappoint their lovely wives every year!) So, I decided to make a nice Valentine's breakfast. Lucky for me, it wasn't especially hard to wake up before all of the Saturday sleepy-heads to wrangle some balloons and stuff. Kids are so easy to please.

Our Valentine's Day Party

You are such an AWESOME mom!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great party! I'm impressed that not only did you get up before your kiddos on a Saturday morning early enough to prepare a party, but you did it 7 months pregnant! (Here, I like my sleep, the children like their cartoons...everybody's happy!)
ReplyDeleteExcellent point about training your sons now so they won't disappoint their wives someday...I hadn't even thought about that yet!
See, I'm training my girls to not get their hopes up for Valentine's Day blunders. We didn't do anything for Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteWell, it's hard to train the boys without raising the expectations of the girls...so I'm not sure what I can do about that? :) Maybe they'll clue in on the fact that I was the one who bought the flowers and balloons on V-Day?
