Conversations with BooBoo

James has gotten a lot more talky lately. ...and everything that comes out of his mouth is super entertaining to me.

Yesterday I was scrounging through my closet for a shirt to run in. Since I'm disgusting AND don't like to do laundry, I prefer to wear whatever I ran in last (if it isn't too stenchy). It was.

Enter James.
Boo: What you doing, Mommy?
Me: Changing my shirt. This one is stinky.
Boo: Your shirt stinky? You pee your shirt, Mom?
No, I didn't. Can you tell we're in the midst of potty training?

This morning, as the littles and I were laying in bed, sunshine streaming in around us, James put his arm around me and said, "You the Mom."

I think that's something like, "You the Man!" - only a feminine version.

Then he said, "You not the robot."

I can only guess at what precipitated this. Dreams about an evil robot mom? General obsession with robots?

Regardless - it was cute.

  1. There are not words for how much I love tiny-person conversations. Little people are the best.

My friend posted on her fb the other day-
she was taking the sheets off her bed to wash them and her son walked in and asked if she peed the bed.
    I love kids. (sometimes)

  3. Cute! I love the things that kids come up with! (and I'm glad you didn't pee your shirt)

  4. And on a potty training note: We have two pairs of Boo Boo's undies. Somehow Britton always needs some when he's around. Hope you aren't running low.
