Cozette's Favorite Games

Cozy is growing so much and having lots of fun developing her talents and interests.

Lately, the thing she enjoys the most is unplugging my sewing machine. It's a great game. She pulls out the plug. I tug it away from her and plug it back in. You can imagine how much sewing I'm getting done.

Another game she has discovered is "fishing for toys". Here's how it works:
First, you reach up into a drawer that's too high for you to see into.

Then, you fish out a toy...

...and throw the toy on the floor, so you can see what you got. A cookie cutter! Yay!

I'm not sure what this game is called. Maybe something like "dump the cupboard"?

The one I actually look forward to playing (as it keeps her out of trouble for a few minutes) is the fall asleep in the high chair game. She was in there 3 minutes - max - before she was out like a light! I guess peas are boring.

The funny part is that James did the exact same thing a couple of hours later - but on the potty! I wish I'd gotten a picture, but I was too busy wiping his rear and putting him to bed.

  1. I love it when they fall asleep in the high chair! Cozy is adorable!

The contents of your kitchen cabinets look much more fun and colorful than mine. No wonder she wants to dump them out! My Josiah loves to get into my pots and pans, primarily so he can bang the lids together. Especially when I already have a headache. Great fun!

  2. My eldest loved playing the dump the cupboard game, but she always climbed in there once it was empty.

  4. She is so stinkin' cute! I think that every time I see her! Gracie is into pulling all the books off shelves, toys out of bins, and clothes out of baskets. She rivals Noah in her ability to make a disaster.

  5. What a little darling. Aren't kids fun? I deal with the same sorts of delays when I sew (Monkey likes the foot pedal and both girls go for the pin cushion if it's not out of reach enough).

  6. Ah yes, the fishing for toys and dumping the cupboards. My fourth was so good at that game (and carting the contents all over the house) that I put child locks on all the drawers and cabinets in my kitchen. I left the bottom drawer unlocked and put the tupperware in it. And then a few months later we had to seriously put a lock on the pantry because he would help himself to whatever and then cart it around the house, too. Maddening. LOL
