I went to Sarah's birthday party last week and had a wonderful time. It was like my sewing party...only bigger, better, and with more treats to bring home!
I was the lucky winner of a new (old) copy of Persuasion and a vintage pillowcase. Actually, I cheated and picked out my own prizes (after everyone else left).
The other fun thing I came home with was a handful of zippered pouches. I've been wanting to make some to keep cash in (we're back on the wagon budget-wise). Aren't they adorable? If you want to learn how to make one, come over this Friday at tenish in the a-m, and I'll have some kits ready to go. They are also useful for carrying hair thingamajigs or C-A-N-D-Y.
RSVP if you get a chance (so I have enough put together), but just come! Children are welcome to run wild in the background, and if I'm organized enough, there will be treats!
you make me want to finish mine up! I love the lettering on them! (Maybe I will have to put away the crocheting of a cute nature tonight....sigh.)
ReplyDeleteSarah - wouldn't the pouches look cute with crocheting of a cute nature on them!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Sarah's put a lot of planning and work into making her party an amazing event.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could come over on Friday. I will just have to hope you post pictures and a tutorial on how to make the zippered pouches.
WOW, looks like it was quite a shin dig. I wouldn't expect anything less from Sarah.
ReplyDeleteWish I could come Friday-- I still need to learn how to transform my pillowcase dress kit into a dress!
ReplyDeleteAlso, thank Anthony for inviting Bryant over today. He had a blast!!
Those are really cute! Count me in! And I will be bringing the children to run wild.
ReplyDeleteI think I will be there with three in tow. I promised to take eldest child and friends to the jr. high at nine a.m. to watch the boys practice football. If one of the other parents can pick them up, I'll be free.
ReplyDeleteI am gonna try to make it.
ReplyDeleteOh, I wish we didn't live on opposite sides of the country! I would love to come sew with you! Those pouches are really cute.
ReplyDeleteDANGIT!!!!! I read this post too late...It is 8:16 am....do you think I can make it by 10am.....hmmmmmm....Those pouches are ADOR-ABLE! Can you send me the instructions, Lia? (Later, when things are "quieter, eh? hehe)
