Actually, Annika set her knitting down to read a little HP. Once you start a series, it's hard to stop. We've been making a lot of "emergency library runs" lately, and (Thank Goodness!) all of their reading helps me feel less guilty about my Christmas crafting. (Since my projects haven't exactly been kid-involved.)
Knitting, believe it or not, was little Anthony's idea. My Dad has set a good example of masculine knitters, and Anthony was eager to follow in his footsteps. ...and since it's just as easy for me to take three kids to a lesson as it is to take one, we now have three little knitters in the family.
Think I can get one of them to teach me?
I taught my oldest to use one of those Nifty Knitters a while back, but he never really finished anything on it. Maybe I need to revisit it! I love the idea of masculine knitters!
ReplyDeleteOur Sunday School lesson yesterday included a story about how President Hinckley learned to darn his own stockings when he was a boy...
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite part of this post is looking at the picture of the 3 of them, sitting in such close proximity, and there is NO FIGHTING!!!! (We're having issues with that in our house right now.)
ReplyDeleteI like Courtney's comment. They just all look so content to be with their siblings. What a sweet family you have!
ReplyDeleteOh, I have to steel this one for my blog, its precious!
