I spent the whole ride there yelling, "pedal faster!"
Pumpkins weren't the only attraction this farm had to offer. They put a hill to good use. Grab your burlap sack out of the bin and head up to the slides!
It looks like a pretty steep drop once you're at the top...but moms aren't allowed to chicken out in front of their kids.
We also had some rubber duck races...
...ran through a corn maze (without dialing 911)...
...and learned about some animals.
(Most importantly, we learned that it is extremely cute to watch piglets fight over apples!)
All of that before we even got to the pumpkiny part of our trip!
Ok, I have to pause here to say how happy I am...that Annika has gotten past her poorly posed, fake smiling for the camera phase...so that I can once again take cute pictures of her! What a relief!
...and I think this look says, "I'm much too old to be caught enjoying a hay ride out to a pumpkin patch!" Sadly true, but we appreciate her sweet attitude.
So...we rode through the very-lightly-haunted forest to the pumpkin patch....
...and back with our pumpkiny booty. Arg.
It looks so fun and festive and fall-like! All the "pumpkin patches" around here are people who have big property and then truck in a bunch of pumpkins and line them up in rows for you to "pick". Sigh.
ReplyDeleteoh yah that's a cool patch...gotta find one here :) I love the schoolbus pic. You should go back every year for your homeschool class pic.
ReplyDeleteThat's looks like an awesome patch!
ReplyDeleteYour other recent posts have been fun to read too...I haven't been able to leave comments :(
