The Patio

I think this one is my true favorite. I just have a soft spot for shade plants....maybe from living in the "part shade" of Washington for so long. Or that they just seem to all come in the best color palate ever.

This one was actually planted this year, when my patio was almost finished.

Everything has bloomed and grown and spread just like I wanted it too.  The ferns are running behind a little. Next year.

All of my stolen sedums are growing nicely.

Soon, my chicks will be overflowing, just like my Mom's.

  1. Wow, Lia! I love your 3 new gardening posts! I wish I had your green thumb...I can't believe how everything has flourished! I love shade plants too...ferns especially. and hostas. And now I'm convinced that I need to go get some astilbe as well!!
Congrats to Anthony on the veggie garden...growing veggies really is gratifying. I can't believe how old he's getting, though.....

  2. Love it! Sadly, I have no shady spots in my whole yard. I guess I need to plant some more trees before I can have a shade garden. :o)

  3. haha! I'm glad you're not the only one who steals plants. Chet says it's the flaw in my strict integrity.
