Have I mentioned that we're doing swim lessons right now? Our trip to the lake made me overly enthusiastic about swimming, and, in my fit of enthusiasm, I signed the kids up for swim lessons. Our first day of swim made me question my judgement. I won't go into detail about the insanity. Today, things improved. James actually got into the pool for a while (to take a ride on one of those huge mats) and was, if not "good", at least less naughty. Honestly, I feel like swim lessons are recreational at his age. I just didn't want to exclude him. I'm really hoping that Jonny and Annika can improve - two less drowners would be nice!
Love those benches! Are they pretty much kid sized, or can you sit in them comfortably (never mind you--could an old fat woman like myself sit there comfortably)?

Ooo. Another perk I hadn't thought of that comes with older kids! They can swim. That must make you feel a bit better on the ferry. And the benches look like they were well worth the fort ride.
