A Dozen Down....

...so I only have about 58 more to go. I'm working on a nine-patch quilt from Crazy Mom Quilts, but it's hard to make a scrappy quilt when you're fairly new to quilting. Not many scraps to be had. And I'm determined to have a huge variety of fabrics in this quilt. I love every single fabric on my nine-patch.

When I was a little girl, I loved to look at the different fabrics on the quilts at my Grandma Cozette's house. ...all beautiful...all unique... I knew that my Great-Grandma Tunnell quilted, so I assumed she had made all of those quilts. No. G.Cozette bought them at an auction for $30 each!

My little Cozette - helping me assemble nine-patches. (Actually, she was trying to eat them. Fabric - Yum!)

  1. sounds like you've been busy. wish I was there to 9 patch with you. (let's be honest. I would probably be doing 10 different projects while you 9 patch. dang that cadd/crafters add)

  2. As soon as I finish up another project that I'm working on, I'm going back to my nine patch. I have about half of my squares done. Love the green fabric!

  3. Cozette is just precious!! I love all her hair...I always have bald babies.

Good job on the nine patches. I saw the quilt-along on the Crazy Mom Quilts site and was tempted, but since I'm working on my very first ever quilt, I thought maybe I should just finish that one before taking on anything else...I'm so bad about starting multiple projects and then not finishing anything! (We won't talk about my scrapbooks...ahem) I need to slowly build up a fabric stash as well, lol! :)

  4. Cute Lia, your quilt is going to be darling. Personally I think you should put out a call for scrapes! Oh, sweet Cozette! Love ya!
