Stroller Makeover

Every once in a while, I get to use my sewing addiction to fix something. Happy day!
I knew tha it was only a matter of time before Cozy's doll stroller broke...and lucky me, it was only the replacable fabric part!

I cut up the old fabric to use as a pattern and picked a new fabric from the ol' stash.

Green was my first choice for the bias tape, but I thought 1/4" would be a pain to work with. Brown 1/2" was good enough.

I wanted to quilt the pieces so that they would be sturdier and last longer. I just sandwiched them like a quilt...

...and quilted lines with my walking foot.

A lot of bias-taping later...and it was finished!

The only thing I had to buy was the webbing. $1.50 for the one yard of brown webbing.

Now Cozy can walk her babies (and Timmy the Sheep) again! :)

  3. Very cute. It looks like it will hold up when the bigger kids start pushing eachother around in it.
