The ambience.
Cooking in the kitchen with my sisters. (Man! I look way cuter in my brain!) ...and Dad - who was whipping out the pie crusts!
Annika with the pie crust cookies.
Kids swarming for the chocolate box.
The menfolk practicing their hornpipe for the talent show. My brother James is on guitar, BIL Mike on the penny whistle and the fiddle sticks (so cool!), and Dad on fiddle. Background dancers: Cozy, Lucy, Lilly, Natalie, and Lance. I'm sure they rocked the talent show yesterday (minus the dancers - bummer)!
Will you ever come back to live here? Are you sure you're moving this time? I remember a conversation with you about the many attempts to move. If this is for real I'm going to be a lot sadder than I am now about the prospect. I really like the Red Riding Hood fabric.
ReplyDeleteThere was some dancers, too! Just not quite as many. We'll miss you guys next year... Do we get you guys for every major holiday until you leave?
ReplyDeleteMary: We're planning to move this summer (contingent on many things). I know - I'm a serious wolf-crier on this subject! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're going to like the riding hood fabric even better once I'm done with it!...if that's even possible!
Beth: Where the heck else would we go? You guys don't have much competition...but I would choose you regardless!
It made my heart happy to see you all having a good time in these pictures. I'm sure there were some bittersweet moments, and that there will be at Christmas, as well, but it's nice that you were able to enjoy the holiday. Continued prayers and best wishes.
ReplyDeleteI always look way cuter in my brain than in pictures, too.
ReplyDeleteSo jealous of the ability to cook with sisters. Sigh.
