Lots-o-Stuff

Someone down the street did this. We thought it was adorable and copied them.

I've been working on Halloween costumes - how about you?

James wants to be Mario, so he was thrilled when Anthony came home from dinner with a fake moustache. I don't do a ton of sewing for my boys, so it's nice when you can make something that's a big hit. Mario hat. Score.

My MIL Wanda showed me how to cut hexagons (using the powers of the internet!), and I've talked Sofia into a hexie quilt instead of a bento box. I'm very excited! I've been wanting to do one of these forever!

We were thinking it needed some orange and looked for something suitable in my stash...but apparently only Joel Dewberry fabrics look nice with Joel Dewberry fabrics. I ordered a bit in orange, so we'll see!

I've been really good about not buying quilting fabric...until now. But this is an immediate need, right?

  2. LOVE the quilt! I also love easy costumes that make the kids happy. We've got everyone figured out but Kyle. Leave it to the middle kid to make things difficult.

  3. I've been working on costumes, too. The kids finally decided on Star Wars for the family theme so I've been working on Ewoks and Yoda. Thank goodness for the thrift store drapes, bed skirt and repurposed lion costumes to cut down on some of the work and cost!
